Brad Pitt's birthday party at Jennifer Aniston's favorite restaurant

Is Brad Pitt treading on his ex’s turf? After a long day of Ocean’s Thirteen reshoots, the actor brought in his 43rd birthday December 18 with George Clooney, director Steven Soderbergh, producer Jerry Weintraub and other pals at West Hollywood eatery Il Sole – a favorite haunt of Jennifer Aniston’s.

But at his birthday dinner, Pitt didn’t seem to have his ex on his mind. “It was a really mellow affair,” a source tells Us of the 20-person soiree, which took place in the private Wine Room.

Not in attendance? Pitt’s girlfriend, Angelina Jolie and their three children, Maddox, 5, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 7 months. Maybe it was the grub that kept Jolie away (a source says she vowed years ago never to come back after Il Sole refused to make her a special dish).

As for the birthday boy, an eyewitness says, “He looked tired but happy.”

He's tired because he's freaking globe trotting all over the world w/3 small children. Seems like he's on a different continent every day. Gotta take a toll...

Did they divvy up restaurants in the divorce? This is retarded to say that Brad can't go to a certain restaurant because he used to go there with his ex-wife. These people need to get a life.

I hope that isn't the reason she wasn't around for her boyfriend's birthday ... kind of silly and selfish. It wouldn't kill her to eat something on the menu for one meal.

She's in some other country doing charity work. Couldn't be home for Christmas or Brad's birthday. But I do think it's silly to say he's at Jennifer's favorite restaurant. Probably his too.

How are you able to skew this non-news in your mind to suddenly make it about someone being out to get Jenn? In no way does anything said in the stupid non-news article reflect badly on Jenn. Too bad it doesn't, because she's not admirable in any way. She's just, mmehhh, average and uninteresting in every way. If she hadn't have landed Brad she'd have never garnered this much press and popularity. The quicker she fades back into obscurity and the land of bad Lifetime movies the better.

Is this custody of favorite restaurants something that occurs these days in celebrity divorces? I wasn't aware that there was any rules or etiquette concerning who can and cannot eat at public emporiums.

Angie a no show? Big deal. Maybe she was 'busy' but maybe she was just being a bitch. Who fucking cares anyway.

I hope that Jenn was home alone wringing her hands over this. I can just see her twisting that plain face with the huge chin into contortions of grief and whining to whoever would listen that Brad desecrated her favorite eatery by his very presence. Soaking reams of kleenex, drinking wine topless while paps lurk behind sand dunes in a orgy of self indulgent angst.
