HOLLYWOOD - Angelina Jolie insists adoptive parents are more fit to raise a child than biological parents, because their background and personality is thoroughly scrutinized to see if they're suitable for the challenge.

The Girl, Interrupted actress was put through stringent tests before being granted permission to adopt Maddox, 5, and Zahara, 1.

But when she gave birth to baby girl Shiloh Nouvel earlier this year, nobody investigated her suitability as a mother.

She says, "It should be hard to be a parent period. I go through many things to adopt.

"I'm finger-printed, I'm checked, I go through home studies. I have to prove I'm a decent citizen, a good human being.

"That didn't happen to me when I gave birth, so it's interesting that there's no background check when you bring a child into your home in that way."

Sorry but I have seen that same thought posted here many times about Britney and Anna Nicole and half of Hollywood. I would also maybe take this a little more seriously if I saw the actual interview and know it was not taken out of context. Frankly - when it is posted by a self professed Hater of Angelina I find it suspect.

I sort of agree with her. There are no special tests people have to have to have a baby, and this is how Britney Spears ended up with 2 kids.

You have to have a licence to drive a car, but anyone can have a baby.

And in some cases, adoptive parents are better parents because they really wanted the kid. That can be the case for biological parents too, but in some circumstances, it's not.

While I agree that it should be much harder for some people to reproduce, I don't agree with some of the other journalistic commentary. She adopted her kids at, what, seven months? Really, how much personality testing can they possibly do?

She NEVER said Adoptive parents are more fit. I saw the interview this so-called "news report" is based on. She merely mentioned that it's difficult to become an adoptive parent because of all the red tape, home visits, background checks, etc. compared to popping out a biological child without anyone blinking an eye. Which is completely true. Anyone can give birth yet anyone who wants to adopt has to prove their worth first.

Yeah, I see how thorough and stringent the agencies were that she adopted from. The one she adopted Maddox from was investigated for basically selling babies and the one she adopted Zahara from lied about her mom dying of AIDS.

have multiple affairs with men and women
become a brother f-er
admit to difficulty with trust and family relationships
admit she can't stand touching or hugging
admit to self mutillation
and admit to polysubstance abuse

The knife collecting goes with the self-mutilation. The vial of blood is so she can be physically close to someone without actually touching or hugging them.
