Don't accuse "Today" host Matt Lauer of ogling Britney Spears' hairless nether regions. Lauer went out of his way on this morning's show to claim he'd never seen the infamous shots of the new mom as she went sans underwear on a string of partying nights.

After talking with the folks from VH1's "Best Week Ever" about Britney, the topic changed to Madonna, but the married father-of-three steered the conversation back long enough to add, "Just for the record, I haven't seen the Britney pictures on the Internet."

Of course, Lauer doesn't need to. He had an up-close encounter with Spears this summer when she sat just across from him for a lengthy interview ... wearing a barely-there denim mini.

I think, by now EVERYONE has seen those pictures.... But I wouldn't blame him after that interview w/ her he's probably too disgusted to ever look at her again!

In his defence, he really can't win whatever he says. If he denies he's seen them, noone believes him, and if he says he did, he looks like a pervert!
