Murphy 'Hired Detectives' to Tail Cheating Brown

HOLLYWOOD - Hollywood star Eddie Murphy allegedly dumped ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown after being handed photographs of the former Spice Girl spending time with another man last month.

The Beverly Hills Cop actor reportedly hired a team of private detectives to follow Brown after becoming convinced she was cheating on him, and he ended their relationship after they took photos of her meeting a male friend in Los Angeles.

Brown and Murphy started dating in June, but the Hollywood star cut all ties with the former Spice Girl earlier this week and he's now demanding a DNA test to determine whether he's the father of her unborn baby.

A close friend of Murphy tells British newspaper the News of the World, "Eddie had his suspicions that Mel was becoming close to a guy he knows. He was furious when he saw the pictures.

"It does on the face of it seem spiteful to now doubt that he's the father of the baby, but as far as he's concerned he's been humiliated too. He's just evening the score."

Ew! He gets more and more creepy the more I hear about him. Was she not allowed to spend time with other people or something? I can't wait for her to have that baby and he gets a slap on the face when it turns out to be his.

Wow - he has some nerve judging someone else given the...ahem...predicament he found himself in in the past. If his wife could forgive him that, I'd have at least thought he'd learned to be less judgemental of others. Obviously not.

What an ass. But let this be a lesson to women everywhere not to rush into having a baby with someone. Give it a while and they will show their true colours, good or bad.
