JLo disses young Hollywood style

Jennifer Lopez shows her diva roots in Harper's Bazaar's "Best Dressed" issue, saying today's young Hollywood starlets "don't know what they're doing" when it comes to fashion. When asked if she "turns her eye to young Hollywood stylemakers like Nicole Richie, Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson," Lopez answered, "I don't spend much time thinking about 'those girls.' Fame is very intoxicating. You don't realize what you're doing when you're young."

Hmm, maybe she really doesn't care much about them. I'm her age and I don't put any thought into the young (20ish) girls I work with. It's not jealousy, I just don't relate to them. Of course, i'm not in Hollywood and that makes all the difference in the world.

Sounds like jealousy that she's no longer as relevant and in the tabloids as much as they are. Remember, she LOVES the attention she gets, and has been rumored to purposely keep the eternal "is she pregnant" question about her alive just so she gets press. Well, in all fairness to Jennifer she was 28 when she made the movie Selena and that's when she really made it big...but yeah, she was older compared to Hollywood standards. I think it's hilarious that she's always tried to hide her age. She was actually born in 1969 but a lot of websites list it as 1970. She's 37 years old...a year younger than Marc Anthony.

She's washed up. She has a functioning career and a decent business as a recording artist..there will always be die-hard J.Lo fans who will buy anything she makes. But she's never even toured. She's a studio artist, needs lots of technological devices to help her sound decent on CD's. But she never made it as a really good actress. She sold herself short there trying to do so much with the clothing line, the jewelry, the perfumes....and she made a lot of cheesy, formula movies for so long like Elvis. I think one day she's going to look back on it and regret not really focusing on her film career and choosing good roles. An academy award actress she is not...and it's because she tried to do so much at one time and never really excelled in any of the fields: music, fashion design, acting, dancing, etc...
