HOW BROOKE SHIELDS AND TOM CRUISE BECAME FRIENDS INDEED
AHA! The truth comes out! If you were wondering why Brooke Shields became SO chummy with Tom Cruise after they had that very public tiff over anti-depressants, we've got the answer. After Tom's anti-drug tirade he realized how many women had turned AGAINST him (including Sumner Redstone's wife) - they sided with Brooke. Rather than lose masses of female fans, Tom appeared on Brooke's doorstep with an apology. He included her in various social events and Brooke softened up. Tom desperately needed her friendship and Brooke's publicized appearance at his wedding was a huge deal to Cruise. He persuaded Brooke to attend the wedding by pampering her like a princess with deluxe travel accomodations AND he promised her a role in one of his upcoming movies, possibly The War Magician. Brooke is thrilled - HER career needs a boost too! So they're BOTH happy with their showbiz "friendship."

I always thought Brooke saw herself as something of a mediator/sane big sister to Katie after the whole Paxil incident. I really doubt that Brooke would consider Tom a true friend after that.

oh what a sell out.  I could not have forgiven Tom if I were Brook. She has her own money, she could afford her own luxuries without Tom "pampering" her.

WTF? I thought Brooke was one of the good guys. She could have quietly forgiven him but she should have stuck to her guns in public. OR, she should have made him apologize publically to all women who've gone through PPD.

I dont think so highly of her anymore either. Fancy being taken in by a midget
I thought she had a brain. Maybe she wants to belong to something too.Na. Dont care for for her anymore.
