THAT Sheryl Crow, the new face of Revlon, has been in Memphis shooting its ad campaign with edgy photographer Ellen Von Unworth. Crow, a breast cancer survivor, is also going to work with Revlon Chairman Ronald Perelman on charity events . . . THAT Mary McFadden, the much-married fashion designer, made her cabaret debut the other night at Mr. Chow, singing "As Time Goes By" to Sondra Whitney, Ambassador John Loeb, Paul Soros and Peter Price.

I'm happy she beat breast cancer so far, but she really doesn't have a youthful looking face to push makeup.

Does Revlon have a new line of microdermabrasion kits and sunscreen? If so, she's the one to pimp 'em.

I'm never buying Revlon again. Hooray for beating cancer but I'm no fan of Sheryl's.

I picture her in my mind as having really deep lines around her mouth and generally looking like a leather bag.
Maybe not, I haven't seen a pic of her in a long time.

Plus Revlon chairman Ronald Perelman is a jackass. He's the guy who, during his divorce, testified that his daughter could live on three dollars a day. I guess he was hoping that his ex was planning to move to one of those drought ridden African countries.

Aw! I love Sheryl! She's not "beautiful" but she's cute and extremely talented and very brave and....I think she's attractive. As a fellow musician, I would be remiss in not being at least a little in awe of her. She deserves good things. She's been through hell.

As a 30 something woman myself, I like that Revlon is using women that are not super gorgeous and 18. I like Sheryl, I think she's a strong woman, I think she's very attractive and will make a great spokeswoman. Good for her!

I like Revlon for that fact, too. They've done a good PR Campaign by doing the "beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors" thing. Every other brand uses models and some unrealistic ideal of beauty. Also, I love the new ColorStay lipstick they've revamped, and they're not even paying me to say that.

I'm old so it's not that I think she's not young. Her skin looks like she spent too many years in the sun and maybe smoking, and it's not a good example of how you want to look, which is what sells cosmetics. I don't say she's not a good musician blah blah blah, but her skin looks bad

I don't mind Sheryl, but I don't think she should be 'the face' of anything.
