Christian Slater divorces his wife Ryan Haddon

Christian Slater's divorce from wife Ryan Haddon has been finalised.

Court papers show that the actor and his estranged spouse are legally separated, however, it is unclear whether Christian's request for joint custody of the couple's two children - daughter Eliana, five, and seven-year-old son Jaden - has been granted.

The pair split in January 2005 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the break-up.

At the time, it was alleged that the reason for the separation was that Ryan, 35, couldn't adjust to life in London while Christian, 37, played the lead role in the West End adaptation of 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'.

At the time of the split, Christian's representative insisted the former couple were "committed to raising their two young children together".

The pair first met in 1998 and married on Valentine's Day two years later.

Wasn't the story more that Christian was a cheating druggie/boozer? I seem to remember him getting a bit randy at a nightclub and grabbing some woman...
