It must be nice to be so wealthy that you can buy a house wherever you want.
And as a socialite, It Girl and general all-round rich kid, Nicole Richie is just the sort to splash out on a new pad - because she doesn't like traveling.
What our Nicole does like, however, is shopping, and not just anywhere, but in Beverly Hills to be precise.
So what else should a girl do but buy a condo right in the very heart of Beverly Hills' shopping area.
The Simple Life star has revealed that she's not a fan of driving anywhere in Los Angeles, so her latest purchase should help her avoid getting in a car at any cost.
"It's a nice location because it's in the middle of everything, so I'll never have to drive," she says.
"It's not even about me, I'm scared of other people. My friends, they talk on the phone and drive, and it makes me nervous."
But the super skinny star might have to get herself a bus pass for now, as she isn't due to move into her new central abode until just before she gets married - to DJ Adam Goldstein - early next summer.
