Don't hit TITANIC star LEONARDO DiCAPRIO with your problems - after spending six months filming in poverty-stricken Mozambique, he's not interested in hearing everyday whines.
The actor shot new film BLOOD DIAMOND in Africa and admits he returned home to Hollywood with a new perspective on life and what is worth grumbling about.
He explains, "Mozambique is having an economic resurgence but still four out of 10 people there have HIV or AIDS.
"There's astounding conditions but what I was left with, after spending time in Africa, is it really was the power of the human spirit there and the fact these people have been through so much and they were still dancing in the streets.
"The joy and the energy and the happiness they exuded to everyone was unbelievable and it made me come back home and not want to listen to anyone's problems.
"I don't want to hear what we, as Americans, have to deal with when you're immersed in a place like that for six months and you see the extreme levels of what they have to deal with."

I HATE celebs telling me that shit!
My parents are FROM a third world country, and they were having a better time than I'm having living fucking here! How DARE some rich ass playboy mansion fucking pansy ass tell me, someone who has to scrape for loot, that he doesn't want to hear what Americans have to say...who wants to hear what YOU have to say, fucknut!
These celebs are too fucking much! Perhaps I can deal with Angelina more since she actually did something about it, adopted a child, even Madonna did something. Shut up Leonardo! Making oodles of unearned cash to distract the public from our day to day problems, only to come back with arrogance because you got to see first hand some starving africans....please, you can see that shit in East New York, punk....ugh, sorry.
I don't mean being poor is cool, but they didn't know they were poor, and it's nice and warm where they're from, and my parents didn't need the pity or the self righteousness. So thank you, Leo, for finally getting it. People are poor. Poorer than you imagined, and they persevere. That's life. Let's all go help without your speech, Professor.

Leonardo diCaprio spells "periodic anal odor"
It is a bit rough when self involved, shallow actors tell us what horrible people we are. It often happens when they start to wake up to the human condition; sometime between rehab, and an awards show.

In all due respect glamazon, at least in North America we really don't have absolute poverty. You can always get water, and it's not that hard to get some food. It's not like that in a lot of African countries, and I see where Leo is coming from. We really are spoiled here, even the poor people.

Well, I'm just reading between the lines here, but I'm sure Leo means more along the lines of people complaining that PS3 costs so much, or things like that.

Um, gee Leo, as an orphan who is very nearly broke and scraping by, I find that extremely insulting. Hollywood "problems"--sure, I don't want to hear those. But there are plenty of Americans who have a shit time of it, too.

^That's what I thought, also. I think he's referring to people complaining about petty shit.

I agree with him on that point---but I don't agree that all Americans have nothing to complain about. There's a crapload of suffering in this country, too.

I still don't think it's anything compared to suffering in developing countries, but to each their own.
Then again, I do live in Canada

Domestic abuse, child abuse, rape, grave illness, a shit healthcare system, poverty.....Yeah, I'd say the US has some sad stuff going on. Is it Mozambique? No. And should we try to help those in third world countries? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean everything in the US is roses.
