Ashlee Simpson and Taye Diggs on a date. Joe Simpson isn't going to like this!
Ashlee Simpson and Taye Diggs were seen on what appeared to be a date in New York last week. Page Six reports:
Taye Diggs, who married his "Rent" co-star in 2003, was spotted "cheek to cheek" with Ashlee Simpson at G Spa last week. They took tequila shots and were intimately whispering and intertwining arms for a half hour. A rep for Simpson says she and Diggs are "just friends."

This is probably just Ashlee taking advantage of an unsuspecting Taye in order to get attention from the media now that all the buzz about her nose job and Chicago role has died down. Taye probably went out with her thinking it was just an innocent, friendly get together but Ashlee used the opportunity to coyly cozy up to him and display some questionable, more-than-just-friends behavior, making sure that people would take notice and tell the press that they were on some sort of date. He was probably too embarrassed and polite to call her out on it. It's the same technique Jessica uses when she wants attention. I'm pretty sure it's a Creepy Pa Simpson technique to make his girls seem like in-demand sex objects.
