Keira Knightley to wed

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actress is apparently planning to tie the knot with her alleged fiancé, actor Rupert Friend, next year.

The 21-year-old star is said to have revealed her secret engagement during a party held by Lindsay Lohan at London's exclusive Paper nightclub on Friday night (17.11.06).

A fellow reveller said: "Keira looked radiant and seemed to want the world to know that she and Rupert had got engaged. She even told the waiter, 'Please get my husband a drink.'"

Keira - who met Rupert, 25, on the set of 'Pride and Prejudice' last year - reportedly wants to follow in the footsteps of newlyweds Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and get married in Italy.

She reportedly told her friends: "We've already decided to get married in Italy. Tom Cruise is living my dream by marrying in a castle."

Rupert is said to have proposed to Keira in September after she finished shooting her parts for the third 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film, 'At World's End'.

If this is true, then good luck to them. God knows they need it (young and celebs).

My thoughts. It seems to me that if she’s planning a wedding with a man, who has claimed to set the date & location, THAT MAN is considered a fiancé. But then again, I am not up on all these new found “slang” the children are talking these days…

Finally! A celebrity wedding I'm actually interested in seeing. I hope Keira picks out a dress that is neither too trendy nor too boring, and that she dyes that clown orange mop of hers a shade actually found in nature, so she'll be breathtaking when she walks down the aisle.

I read about that. She was at one of La Lohan's London bashes. The party drank something like 5 bottles of Dom Perrignon, so everyone was feeling loose. Kiera starts refering to Rupert Friend as her husband, asking friends to "get my husband a drink". Then she went on to say that she'd liek to get married, next year, and in an Italian castle. Maybe she was joking.
