Katie Holmes Lands Jessica Simpson's Mane Man for Tom Kat Wedding

Jessica Simpson is willing to share. According to a report from Life & Style weekly the TomKat wedding will have a flavor of Jessica as the fabulous Katie Holmes ™ has tabbed Ken Paves as the wedding stylist.

The weekly entertainment magazine reports that Ken Paves has edged out famed stylist Oscar Blandi to do Katie's hair for her Nov. 18 wedding to Tom Cruise.

According to an exclusive report from the magazine, Ken landed yesterday in Rome, reporting for TomKat wedding duty, while Oscar is fully booked for appointments this weekend and has no travel plans, one insider tells Life & Style.

Oscar did Katie's hair for about 12 years, and then she introduced him to Tom and he did Tom's hair on Mission Impossible III, says an insider close to Blandi.
"So there were all of these reports that he was doing her hair for the wedding, but he's not," the insider says.

"He's so bummed because he doesn't know what to tell people."

He's not mad; he's disappointed, the item claims.
"He always did Katie's hair. And for the last couple of years, he's done Tom's. He thought he was a sure thing to do this wedding. But he never got the call."

According to what i've read, Katie has strangely dumped pretty much ALL the people she was close to up until she met Tom--her pre-Tom friends, her manager, her publicist, etc.... So i'm not surprised she's dumped her hairdresser too.

What I don't get is that Oscar went to Rome on TomThumb's private plane when he and Katie made their debut (cough) in 2005, plus he did a lot of photo shoots for them INCLUDING the Suri Vanity Fair pics.

I'm surprised. He's a great guy and he's been very devoted to her and her privacy.

^^Oscar worked for Tom as well. I heard Jlo brought in Ken to do her hair, not Katie. That was supposedly a mistake and he's for Jen

Well from the one pic I've seen from the wedding, the person who did end up doing Katie's hair shouldn't brag too much. It didn't look all that great to me....quite blah actually....and certainly not as 'grand' as I expected given it was (supposedly) the wedding of the year. Perhaps Oscar will be hired back.
