Matt Damon deliberately appears to be boring in interviews
DAMON DETERMINED TO APPEAR BORING
Movie & Entertainment News provided by World Entertainment News Network (www.wenn.com)
2006-11-16 21:25:28 -
THE BOURNE IDENTITY star MATT DAMON is desperate to appear as boring as possible when he does interviews because he wants the media to leave him alone.
Damon hates doing press and will only do what's necessary to promote his latest film and tries not to say anything noteworthy in the process.
He tells Details magazine, "I've worked very hard in interviews to portray a very polite and boring person.
"I'm actively trying to get away from the over-exposure that happened eight years ago.
"The only thing a celebrity can do in one of these articles is hurt their own career. If I give you a really good interview, am I going to get a movie out of it? F**k no! "So what's the argument for saying anything, unless you have this rampaging need to please?"

He's just trying to cover the fact that he actually is as dull as dirt.

^Of course it was a set up joke.
I like him, seems as though Ben learned a lesson from the "Bennifer" fiasco and is taking the same road.

My GOD, he does look like a thumb! Holy shit!
He's a good actor, though. And I like him.

I love it. Once in a while I'll just say that when people (salesmen) start talking to me. They don't know what to make of it! Or if I see Matt Damon in a movie, that's what pops in my head.

I can't watch him on screen. I just wind up watching his moles and wondering how many of those suckers he has.

^^ hahaha!
I can't separate him from his characters because he looks like he's always 25. There are more terrible fates, but him and actors like Leo just look too damn young to be playing these thug/CIA/gang member/cop/etc roles. Babyfaces. With moles.

That's really smart actually. He's makes a good point there. I think most celebs just can't restrain themselves from these outbursts, because they have insatiable egos and are addicted to all the attention they get via the interview process.

That's a rather effective strategy, I find him as dull as watching paint dry.
