Kate Moss and Pete Doherty were banned from the world premiere of new Bond film ‘Casino Royale’ ? so they couldn’t meet Queen Elizabeth.
The supermodel and her drug addict fiancé were desperate to attend Tuesday night’s (14.11.06) premiere, in London, to see new 007 Daniel Craig strut his stuff as the suave spy.
However, the couple were told they could not go by organisers, who deemed they were not suitable guests to share the red carpet with the monarch.
A source told Britain’s Closer magazine: "Pete was desperate to go with Kate. She’s a fan of the films and was planning a special outfit to wear. But the organisers didn’t want them mixing with royalty on the red carpet ? it’s a classy event and they were not considered right for the occasion. They’re gutted." Kate, 32, dated Bond actor Daniel for a short time in 2004 but their romance quickly fizzled out.
Among the stars who were allowed to attend the glitzy event were Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish, Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay, Sharon Osbourne and new Bond girl Eva Green.

Ha very true sinnergirl, especially considering she flashed her stuff while she was there. Perhaps they should just have banned all the unsavoury characters from the premiere...there would have been about twelve people attending

They'll let Sharon Osbourn in but not these two?! OMG, that's hilarious (wiping a tear from my eye).

Oh puh-lease. Cry me a river. POOOOOOOOR Cokate didn't get to wear her "special outfit" to the Bond premiere. How absolutely sad and tragic. I feel so terribly sorry for her that she's "gutted" over this terrible turn of events.

If I had to choose who to let in, banned or Kate, it wouldn't be banned.

I'm sure Queen Elizabeth was devastated at missing the opportunity to shoot up with Pukey Pete in the public loo.

This is bullshit. There's NO WAY celebrities of this calibre would be turned away from a red carpet event - just no way. The organisers would never get Ms Moss back on board and that would mean suicide for their business. Kate has way too much influence in the party world to EVER get a knock-back.

I think you're right, pinklilycat. No party organizer in the UK can go without Kate Moss.

I agree Pinklilycat, it does seem odd that a top celeb (especially a top British celeb) like Kate would be turned away, especially given that Parisite Hilton of all people was apparently there.... But, IMO i could see this being true. Pete Doherty is a criminal & is an unpredictable drug addict known to do bizarre behavior such as squirt his blood out of syringes at people & is nearly constantly in a heroin-induced stupor. And Kate is a known drug abuser. If i were in charge of planning a party where the Queen of England was going to be present, those two druggies would be people i'd be wary of having present. Who knows how drugged-up Pete would act--If he committed one of his infamous gaffes at the event & pissed off the Queen, she might be pissed at the promoter for having those low-lifes there. And maybe the Queen actually stated that she didn't want those two druggies at the event. IMO the party promoter would probably be more interested in making sure that the event was up to par for the Queen of England, than he would be concerned about Cokate & Doperty.--in this particular instance. Just my opinion; who knows....

^^Yeah it would have been funny! Can't you just picture drugged-out Doperty staggering over to The Queen with syringe in hand, and asking her if he can draw some of her blood to use to make one of his infamous "blood paintings"?!?

Good point but I don't agree - sorry! Royalty are always surrounded by soooo much security that it's impossible to get anywhere near them without prior consent. If they didn't want Pete near Lizzie then they would have simply prevented him from meeting her - but NOT from the event itself. Honestly the ENTIRE London social scene depends on Kate Moss giving something a stamp of approval and there's just no way she'd EVER get turned away from ANYWHERE. It's far more likely that she knocked THEM back and the organisers started this rumeur to save face.
