Carmen Electra's half-brother commits suicide

The half-brother of pin-up CARMEN ELECTRA has committed suicide at his home in Florida.

ROD MARK, 43, shot himself through the heart last week (27OCT05) after losing a battle with depression.

The tragedy is the latest in a long line of family deaths for Electra - her mother and sister died within a month of each other in 1998.

The model-turned-actress, who hardly knew Mark, says, "I was sad to hear the news. My heart goes out to his family."

Electra, whose real name in TARA PATRICK, and Mark had different fathers.

If they have different fathers but are half-brother and sister, would that not mean that they have the same mother? It seems odd to say "out to his family" when it would be her mother, too....?

Well, their mother is dead, so she probably means any family he had on his father's side, and possibly any wife or children he may have had.

Yeah, I didn't really like her much before, but then I read that interview and felt so sad for the poor girl. It's awful

I have a 1/2 brother(we share a dad) and a 1/2 sister(we share a mom) and although i'm extremely close to them i've never met their families. I can see not being close to them if my mom or dad had died seven or eight years ago. My best friend's dad left her family and started a new family, she has 1/2 siblings that she's never met.

Maybe he made an attempt in March? At least a few places have the story and say it happened last week, and I doubt they'd all mess up that badly.

Me too.I have a half brother on my dad's side who I have never ever met.I have tried to met him but he doesn't feel the need to met with me.
