Mills Sues Papers

HOLLYWOOD - Paul McCartney’s estranged wife Heather Mills is suing two British newspapers over "false, damaging and immensely upsetting" statements surrounding her divorce from the former Beatle legend.

Tabloids the Daily Mail and the Evening Standard have been singled out as the main subjects of the legal proceedings by Mills, with additional action also being taken against The Sun.

The Daily Mail published extracts from leaked divorce papers last week in which the 38-year-old accuses McCartney of physical and verbal abuse during their four-year marriage.

A statement released by Mills' lawyers said she had been vilified in the media and was now being stalked by photographers as a result of the published articles.

Her lawyer Mishcon De Reya says, "Her time and resources are not infinite. She cannot sue--for now, at least--every single newspaper that has published false, damaging, and immensely upsetting statements about her.

"She should not thereby be taken to have accepted that these statements are true."

Mills and McCartney announced their split in May. They have a two-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

1. Get more attention
2. Force a public apology
3. Backtrack over her failed media blitz.

She's such an unlikable bitch. I kind of see her as a British Janice Dickinson, except Janice has a good sense of humor, and seems to have a good heart, beneath all the "I Was the First Supermodel!" bravado. But I can see her ending up on reality shows like Janice, only if she was on a show like Big Brother, her housemates might end up killing her bitchy ass.
