Talking Legendary actor and boozer Peter O'Toole smuggled vodka into Oscars!!!

    I fucking Love this Man!

    O'Toole Smuggled Vodka Into Oscars

Legendary hell-raiser Peter O'Toole nearly missed out on picking up his Honorary Oscar in 2003 after he threatened to leave the ceremony because of the award show's strict no-alcohol rules. It was only after a bottle of vodka was smuggled in to appease the Lawrence Of Arabia star, that he decided to stay and collect the award. He says, "I enjoyed it (The Oscars.) The only thing that wasn't enjoyable was in the green room. I said, 'Can I have a drink?' 'We have lemon juice, apple juice, still or sparkling.' I said, 'No, I want a drink. No drink?' I said, 'All right, I'm fucking off. I'll be back.' A man with earphones said, 'No! No!' Eventually this vodka was smuggled in." www.imdb.com

That guy slurs 24/7, frankly I find it kind of disgusting that someone could have that big a monkey on his back.

And don't forget that the participants are there for hours longer than the actual show, which is hella long enough anyway.

His speech was the best thing about the Oscars that year.

Oh for chrissakes, everybody in the audience is on coke, zoloft,
xanax or heroin, and they're worried about Lawrence of Arabia
losing it? Who do they think they're fooling?

I love Peter. First time I saw him in Lawrence of Arabia I nearly fainted. Those blue eyes. Also loved him in Good-bye Mr. Chips.
If I can't be a good example, then let me be a horrible warning.

I fell for him a long time ago, and still love him and his spirit, or "spirits".

    Bumping for Alice

I just read an interview where he said:

Interviewer: "Tell me that women still fling themselves at you".

Peter: "I can't....I won't... be specific. But I will say that nothing has changed. Not for me.

He's always coming out in a new film this December called Venus where he falls in love with a 20 year old young woman AND Vanessa Redgrave plays his ex wife. He plays and aging actor of still some notoriety. He and Vanessa are watching an old movie of his and she says "You were so beautiful".

He really shouldn't be drinking like that but what the hell. He had stomach cancer in the 70's brought on by alcohol they say.

Oh yeah. I'm there. What's amazing is that he was nominated for an Oscar but never won. Look at the nominees of those years....who could pick one?

He's a very charming man. I interviewed him once a long time ago. Who could sit through that four-hour nightmare without a drink?

He has the most amazing blue eyes....
