It appeared his life was picture perfect, but now Keith Urban says he's been battling alcohol abuse and has entered a treatment rehabilitation center.
According to a statement issued by Urban's publicist, the country singer checked himself in last night with Nicole Kidman, his wife of four months, by his side.
Urban says, "I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole and the ones that love and support me." He adds, "One can never let one's guard down on recovery and I'm afraid that I have."
Urban's statement ends with this message: "With the strength and unwavering support I am blessed to have from my wife, family and friends, I am determined and resolved to a positive outcome."
This is not Urban's first stint in rehab. The singer sought help in late 1998 for drug and alcohol abuse. Urban, who has admitted to free basing cocaine, once told USA Weekend Magazine "I had this house in Nashville where I used to do drugs. ... I remember one night crawling around on my hands and knees, looking for these little rocks at five in the morning."
All immediate appearances by Urban have been postponed.

Wasn't there a blind item about this?? I'm probably confused, but there are so many that are alcohol or drug related...

YES!! Though I could be confused too, but I'm almost positive that Lainey did one fairly recently about *him*. Lainey will be ALL.OVER.THIS.
LOVES IT! (not laughing at his addiction but the fact that the relationship will probably be outted too as a complete fucking sham).

The only thing that bugs me about all this is the probability that Tom is sitting there smugly talking about how Nicole's husband wouldn't have addiction problems if he would join the Co$.

Yep, it was the one where the ex-boyfriend (K.U.) went off because the love of his life (Niki Taylor) is marrying somebody else. Sounds like he took it hard enough to hit the bottle.
Real marriage my ass, I knew Nicole Kidman was a pro beard...so is Naomi Watts her real relationship do ya think?

I knew Nicole was setting herself up for heartache and I knew this dude was going to go back to drugs. I'm sorry, but this does not surprise me at all. This man is going to relapse over and over again and Nicole's going to waste her time thinking he can 'change' him. Too many women waste years thinking a man can change. Uh, sorry, 9 times out of 10, what you see is what you get.
I still predict this marriage is going to fail and it's going to be within a year.
