TERRIFIED Geri Halliwell has told police she is being shadowed by a mystery stalker.
The 34-year-old is worried that she and baby daughter Bluebell Madonna could be in danger after spotting the stranger several times.
When former Spice Girl Geri reported the matter to police she was interviewed for more than 30 minutes by officers.
A police source said: "Geri believes she has a stalker and is absolutely terrified.
"She has seen the same person following her several times and it is making her very jittery.
"She was in a very agitated and anxious state and officers had to calm her down. As a new mum, it must be pretty frightening and she doesn't want to leave anything to chance.
"She is being ultracautious for the sake of baby Bluebell."
Police are understood to have advised Geri on ways to improve security at her £2million home in Primrose Hill, North London - lent to her by close friend George Michael.
It is not known whether a formal complaint has been made.
Geri's security scare comes just weeks after her nanny was arrested by officers probing an assault on five-month-old Bluebell.
The singer called police in August when she found her daughter, who had been left with an agency childminder, bruised and screaming.
Detectives passed details of the alleged assault to their Child Abuse Investigations Unit and a 30-yearold woman was held.
Geri yesterday refused to comment on her visit to
Albany Road police station at the weekend. But it is not the first time she has been targeted by a stalker.
In 2001 she fled her £1million, two-storey apartment in Holland Park, West London, after it was broken into while she was on holiday with Robbie Williams.
The intruder trashed the place, spraying Ribena over walls and carpets.
Jewellery and a computer worth £4,000 were also taken in the raid.
There were reports the break-in could have been committed by a stalker but Geri refused to speculate after being advised not to discuss security matters. She never returned to the flat, instead spent almost two years living in hotels and sleeping at friends' houses.
Geri said of the break-in: "It made me feel very vulnerable. It was really horrible. I was lucky because I did not disturb anybody and I have enough money to go and stay in a hotel and get away from it and not have to deal with it.
"It was very hard to deal with but I think I have got over it now."
Geri gave birth to her Bluebell in May after a six-week fling with Los Angeles scriptwriter Sacha Gervasi.
In an interview, she described herself as a single mother and the father's name was left off the birth certificate.
The star binned Sacha's congratulatory flowers and denied the 40-year-old access to his daughter when he flew to the UK shortly after the birth. But it is understood the couple are now talking again.
