Wow, that's something. I'll bet Lita/Willa Ford is pissed! Sarah should have been voted off a long time ago.

I just googled it and it says that she will be appearing on a talk show Tuesday to talk about it and explain her reasons for quitting.

Weird! I don't watch the show but I like her. Wonder what happened.

Sara Evans Stops "Dancing"
All of a sudden, Dancing with the Stars doesn't have as much rhythm as it used to.
Country music star Sara Evans has bowed out of the ABC series, citing "personal reasons" for not being able to tango on.
As it turns out, Evans filed for divorce Thursday from her husband of 13 years, Craig Schelske. A statement released by the singer's rep explained that she needed "to give her family her full attention at this difficult time.
"Ms. Evans hopes her fans and TV viewers...will respect and understand her need for privacy in the face of these recent events."
Although she wasn't the most consistent of the bunch, frequently scoring near the bottom of the pack with the judges, the "Suds in the Bucket" singer was never in danger of going home, with her loyal fan base keeping her out of the bottom two each week.
Evans frequently talked on-camera about her hectic touring schedule, as well as the difficulties of juggling performing, having to learn a brand-new dance each week, and spending time with her three kids.
As recently as Wednesday's results show, however, the 35-year-old artist seemed in it for the long haul. In a video message posted Saturday on her Website, DancingWithSara.com, Evans was on her way to sing the national anthem at an Anaheim Ducks hockey game with her ballroom partner, Tony Dovolani, by her side.
"We just want to say thank you for all of your votes, and this week we're having a great time learning the samba," said Evans, who was voted the second-most beautiful woman in country music in June--behind only Faith Hill--by Country Weekly magazine.
"Please keep voting. We love you and we'll see you on TV Tuesday night."
Judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli enjoyed her samba, too, giving her props for loosening up and letting her hips do the talking.
Pop singer Willa Ford was the one to get the boot this week, putting Evans and Dovolani in the final six.
ABC told E! News that the network has no comment at this time and, wouldn't you know, you have to tune in next Tuesday to find out more info.
"It is too bad because dance has a really healing quality to it as well, and I think the family of DWTS could be a great support system for her," Inaba told Us Weekly.
"I watch them care for each other and sometimes it is good to be around people who care about you and I think that would be good for her. But she has to take care of herself and take care of her life, and I'm sure she is making a good decision for herself. We will all support her."

^^ She really has looked beated down. She always has bags under her eyes and looks like she's going to burst into tears at any moment. It makes more sense now. It's always sad to see the end of a marriage especially when three kids are involved.

I like Sarah. I can't help but think though what this will do to the Republican Party now.
Right before the show started Tom Delay of Texas sent out an email to everyone he knows asking them to spread the word through their republican base to vote for her. She espouses the values they represent and sang for the Republicans at a convention. He also wanted to make sure Jerry Springer got the boot early on.
Is Sarah dropping out indicative of what we can expect at the mid-term elections in 3 weeks? I hope so.

This is horrible ... I hope it isn't true but then that would mean she's lying.
Quote:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Country singer Sara Evans alleges in divorce papers that her husband committed adultery, was verbally and emotionally abusive, drank excessively and frequently watched pornography in their home.
Evans, 35, filed for divorce Thursday from Craig Schelske and announced through a spokesman that she was quitting ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" to "to give her family full attention at this difficult time."
The couple married in 1993 and have three children ages 7, 3 and 2. Schelske, 43, who is currently unemployed, ran for Congress as a Republican from Oregon's 5th District in 2002. He is a native of Salem, Ore. He could not immediately be reached for comment.
In the filing in state court in Franklin, a Nashville suburb where the couple has a home, Evans alleges that Schelske watched pornography on the couples' computers and has at least 100 nude photographs of himself in a state of arousal. She also alleges that several photographs show Schelske having sex with other women, and that Schelske maintains "Craigs Lists" on his computers, some of which involve requests for three-party sex and anal sex.
According to the court documents, the oldest of the couple's children confronted Schelske when he was watching pornographic material on the television in their home.
Evans further alleges that Schelske frequently threatened her and "told her that she is crazy," threatened to take the children to Oregon and "continually interferes with (Evans') possession of and parenting time" with their children.
Evans requests child custody, possession of Franklin home and child support.
Evans was among 11 celebrities who paired with professional dancers to compete on the third season of the popular ABC reality series. "Ms. Evans hopes that her fans and TV viewers who've supported her in recent weeks and throughout her music career will respect and understand her need for privacy in the face of these recent events," Allen Brown, her representative at Sony BMG Music Entertainment, said in a statement Thursday.
The Missouri native was recently nominated for female vocalist of the year honors by the Country Music Association. She made her recording debut in 1997 and her 2000 album "Born to Fly" went double-platinum. Her hits include "Perfect," "Suds in the Bucket," and "Real Fine Place to Start."

Well, after thirteen years I would have assumed it would be something serious like adultery. But I would also assume something as descriptive as the last article would not be false, otherwise Sara could easily be proven wrong or lying.
If they claim there are pictures, they better have those pictures to show. If they claim there are "Craig Lists" - they they better have saved a copy of the website/profile because I am sure after the actual papers were filed, if he were smart, he's deleted them.

It is sad to hear this, but the part that freaked me out was the oldest kid (7) CONFRONTED his Dad while he was watching the shit on the computer.
I remember reading that they had trouble having a baby and were so excited when she finally got pregnant. From the outside looking in, it seemed that they had the fairytale life. Just goes to show no one really knows what goes on behind closed doors.
I could probably deal with alot of shit, but the pics of him with other women-nope-that would be the deal breaker right there

I don't know who she is but I unkindly always laugh when self-described right wing republicans with a family values agenda ends up in this type of situation. It's easy to preach until real life smacks you upside the head.
