In one of Hollywood's most shocking fights ever, two top stars of "Grey's Anatomy" got into in a violent brawl — with one choking the other, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.

A long-simmering feud exploded into the open as Isaiah Washington (Dr. Preston Burke) attacked Patrick Dempsey (Dr. Derek Shepherd) and put him into a chokehold, say sources.

The fight erupted at Prospect Studios in L.A. on Oct. 9 when Isaiah, 43, and Patrick, 40, started arguing about cast members being late for a scene.

Enraged, Isaiah grabbed Patrick by the throat and shoved him!

According to the source, when T.R. Knight, who plays Dr. George O'Malley, demanded the pair break it up, "Isaiah called him a 'bitch.'"

A tense hour went by as the actors and crew tried to figure out what to do next.

Divulged the source: "Isaiah stormed off to his trailer to cool off while Patrick and T.R. stood there in disbelief."

And insiders say the feud is far from over!

I need an explanation . Why is this show popular ? I watched some episodes and I don't get it . It's all about who has the most sex . You only need to watch one episode to know all the other

I caught about 5 minutes and its a fucking soap opera.

The only show worse is "brothers & sisters", where everyone is overly melodramatic, and speaks in hushed, choked whispers

Wouldn't you think instead of turning on each other, these actor would just be super happy to have a huge hit on their hands and attempt to keep it together the best they can?? And maybe act like adults??? Christ.

Um, Lynnie, this is Hollywood. You can't apply expectations from the real world to their set.

Any of the above content is meant to apply to all people of all ethnic backgrounds, whether such backgrounds are part of their genetic workup or the magic of makeup.

But I think you CAN expect actors to act like PROFESSIONALS and the adults that they claim to be. Spoiled assholes.
