Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - The death of a family member can easily tear a family apart, but the birth of a child can heal those painful wounds and bring a family together again. Despite their strained relationship, Candy Spelling recently said she is "thrilled" after finding out her daughter Tori is, in fact, pregnant.
Candy - the widow of TV legend Aaron Spelling, the creator of classic TV shows "Charlie's Angels" and "Dynasty" - says she can't wait to be a grandmother.
She gushed to People magazine, "I'm thrilled and ecstatic and if Aaron were here, I know how thrilled he would also be to share in such a happy occasion."
It is the first child for Tori and her husband Dean McDermott, although Dean already has an eight-year-old son, Jack, from a previous relationship.
Candy's joy suggests she has finally forgiven the 33-year-old actress - who is 14 weeks pregnant - and ended their long-running feud. Mother and daughter haven't been on good terms since Tori claimed she found about her father's death from a friend.
Earlier this year, she said, "I was devastated. I thought I had some time to see him. And I was saddened that the news had not come from my mother."
An outraged Candy fired back in a statement, "We are deeply saddened that, during our time of loss and grief, we are forced to respond to the media frenzy caused by the mean-spirited and surprising comments made by Tori to the press."
