Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie friends again? (as if their fake fight was ever real)

The feud between "The Simple Life" co-stars Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie appears to be over.

TMZ cameras were there as Paris and Nicole broke bread (or beef) at Dan Tana's Steakhouse in West Hollywood last night. The pair arrived together in Paris' Range Rover and caused a frenzy at the front door not seen since Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan met in Geneva in 1985. And after their meal, the newly reunited pair shared a little tender text-messaging time on a bench at the valet stand before zooming off into the night.

The co-stars have been in a very public feud for some time now, some say triggered when Nicole Richie had a party and showed Paris' infamous sex tape to her guests. The spat spilled out onto their show and onto the social scene -- but whispers of a detente between the two celebutantes have been circulating. Still, this is the first time the pair have been seen out together in months. And, as TMZ observed, the two seemed to enjoy each other's company and to be glad to put their feud to rest.

The question now is -- will Paris shake with Shanna Moakler?

God forbid I should ever become any kind of celebrity or famous person that the paps care about. Did you see all those damn flashing lights??? Did you see how fucking close those motherfuckers get??!? They have absolutely NO respect for personal space!!

Just you wait, fellow GossipRockers. If/when I ever do become a celeb the paps care about, I am so gonna be in the news so many times for delivering a beat-down to anybody that gets in my face. I'll have to make sure I have millions in the bank just to settle all the lawsuits.

I've noticed that on other TMZ videos. I can imagine it is very overwhelming and even frightening, and probably why so many have got bodyguards...not for the crazies, but for the paps. I can understand why Brad and Angie's bodygaurd choked one, LOL.

I'm with you on that. Sure celebs are pretentious, etc. but I understand why some of them just snap and start banging heads. There is no way I could deal with that all the time. I read an article recently that said this is a fairly new phenomena with the paps descending like jackals. Apparently even ten years ago it was much less instrusive, far less paps, much more of a 'working relationship'. Now, it's like a swarming army on the attack and is fed by the growing number of celeb weeklies and, well, sites like this. I can't begin to imagine how much it must suck after awhile.
