Nicole Richie and Jenner Brody have called it quits

Us Weekly has learned exclusively that after two months of dating Nicole Richie and Brody Jenner have called it quits.

Richie's rep Nicole Perna confirms the break-up exclusively to Us, saying: "Nicole and Brody are no longer dating but remain close friends."

A source says that Richie initiated the breakup today at Jenner's home in Malibu and that both Jenner, 23, and Richie, 25, agreed it was best to part ways.

"Nicole just wants to be single right now," says the source. "She felt it was a mistake to jump into a relationship so soon after her breakup with AM."

Richie and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein split in May of this year after a nine-month engagement.

“Relationship?” — I know there are rumors regarding my “breakup” with Brody Jenner. The truth is, we were never really together. We hung out, and he’s a nice guy, but my heart was never in it. Anything further is just a cry for publicity.

I'm sure his Mom put him up to dating Nicole in the first place.
People were probably afraid she'd become suicidal after her breakup with DJ A.M.
Brody's Mom put him up to it so Nicole could save face and not be lonely.
Then he got tired of trying to have "relations" with a bag of bones........

That boy was waaaaay too handsome to be dating ugly Nicole Richie. And I'm sorry, but if Brody Jenner is half the gold-digger is mother, Linda Thompson is, he just might just have dated Nicole for the money!

Either way, you can't deny Brody is a handsome kid. Thank God he doesn't look like dad because Bruce Jenner was fugly!
