Pop star Aaron Carter wants his ex-fiancee Kari Ann Peniche to give back $10,000 earrings he bought her during their nine-day engagement.
Should she or shouldn't she? DD wants to know

Absolutely not. You never ever ask for gifts back, even if they are ridiculously expensive. Plus, he made a commitment to her, even if he didn't really mean it he still did propose to her, so she deserves something for her humiliation.
Or maybe I'd just hate to have to give earrings back and I'm looking at this all wrong lol!! Plus Aaron Carter deserves to pay for his performance.

Once he gave her that jewelry, it is hers. He has to be a man
and just accept it. (Besides, he can afford that sort of loss.)

the earrings should not be given back. the engagement ring should be given back as they did not fulfill their verbal contract (i.e. marriage).

The earrings were a gift, he doesn't get them back.

If they want to be petty and TACKY by asking for a gift back, I say let them and throw the damn things in his face, or in a river so he can go get them. Or better yet, don't give them back but auction them off for charity or something, that way he still gets screwed and I don't feel guilty for keeping them.

If I were her, I'd give them back. I just would feel so guilty accepting such an expensive gift. However, he gave them & I don't think he really has any right to expect them back.

Alas, he must be a gent here too, and let it go.
Besides, she's not likely to get much joy out of it, either.
