Music mogul Clive Davis was so upset by pal Whitney Houston's decline into a drug hell, he called on rocker Courtney Love to mentor the troubled soul star, according to US reports. Love, who has gone through her own drug abuse problems and now insists she's clean and sober, jumped at the chance to help another struggling star and agreed to stage an intervention with Davis.

Well, the stats tell us that MOST people never get sober long term. It is a tool, one that can backfire...I think that interventions involving family members are more about them than the actual addict. It is so they can feel okay with walking away if the addict doesn't do it their way. Not that family members don't get burned and burnt out...people take what they can take...
