Clive Owen Wants To Take On Different Roles
Clive Owen revealed he is desperate to play a role where he isn't always miserable and would like to be able to smile.
The handsome star, who is known for his straight-faced roles, which include "Sin City", "Closer" and "Derailed", confessed he would love to show off the lighter side of him.
He told BANG Showbiz; "I think if I smile all the way through it might freak people out. It would be terrifying. Actually, I quite like that idea."
He went on joking; "From now on I'm going to ask my agent to only send me scripts with characters that grin in them!"
However he does admit even though he wants to shake off certain bad boy roles, he claims he won't be giving up parts like that just yet.
He said; "I do make a lot of grown up movies that aren't all frothy but I like that. They do have light and shade and touches of humour but just in a different way. I love playing characters with some sort of conflict."
Meanwhile, Clive recently admitted he wants to quit acting because he feels exhausted.
He revealed that he is worn out from filming several movies back to back and claims he needs a few months off to rest and spend that time with his daughters Hannah, nine, and six-year-old Eve.
He told Britain's Reveal magazine; "I've made several films back to back, and have told my agent that after I finish the last one, I will be absolutely unavailable for a long time, five months minimum.
I need to take this time off."
