Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson (sort of) go public

It's no longer a secret: Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are definitely out and about and having a fun time together.

Hudson, who separated from Chris Robinson in August, and Wilson are keeping a relatively low profile – but are spending more time together in the public eye, PEOPLE reports in its new issue.

On Sunday, Wilson visited Hudson and pals at her Pacific Palisades, Calif. house. Then, later that evening, the two shared a patio booth at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel, where they ordered drinks and, at one point, requested that a bamboo divider be placed around their table for privacy.

The You, Me and Dupree costars had also been spotted the week before in Hawaii, where Hudson, 27, was vacationing with son Ryder, 2. Wilson, 37, stayed at a home nearby, and the pair shared a dinner on Sept. 7 with friends at Longhi’s restaurant.

"The chemistry between (Hudson and Wilson), the electricity, was palpable," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They really looked into each other, despite the fact that they were among other people."

Wilson’s rep, who previously denied reports of a romance, now has "no comment on his personal life."

But, says a witness at the Polo Lounge, their enjoyment of each other is perfectly clear: Hudson couldn't stop smiling at Wilson all night.

Hudson and Wilson's willingness to be seen out together is a change from last month, when the actress skipped the Aug. 22 London premiere of Dupree and Wilson ended up promoting the film without his costar.

It sounds like she's more compatible with Owen than Chris.

Ok, it is possible that they are friends...I have a great time with my male friends-by golly, I even laugh and smile at them!
Didn't we just read that she was not leaving her husband? Hell, in their weird relationship he could very well know that she is "spending time" with OW and have no problem with it...who knows...

Its not fair to call Owen a homewrecker! If Chris really is how all the magazines say he is; constantly critical of kate's slim figure, or forcing her to have sex with groupies, I cant blame Kate for kicking his ass to the curb. Who wants to put up with that! Chris made it easy for kate to fall in love with Owen if thats what happened.

And before the split, kate was talking about having a sibling for Ryder, but apparently Chris didn't want her 'fat' again.

I never thought Kate and her husband were getting back together. That "rumor" came up right after the Owen stuff leaked, and I always thought it was just to stop those rumors. And it did for a little while ... now Owen and Kate are being seen together again.

so if its okay if your husband is asshole ? How the hell do we know what happens in people's personal lives to put labels on them. Many of them know how to fake the happy in love marriage thing for the public and magazines.

And it's very hypocrtical to not call Kate and Owen cheaters because Chris might have been a jerk. And yet Angelina and Brad are automatically cheaters because people felt for poor "america's sweetheart jenjen"??? If Chris didn't want Kate to become fat and have another baby, jen would not get pregnant for five years.

Why not make fun of Kate's son and call her a whore and slut. Let call Owen a homewrecker, asshole, and an idiot. Let's talk about how Kate has herpes. Let's call her a freak for being freaky when it came to her marriage with Chris and all the things she would say about porn and not being monagmous....oh wait..she is blond..all american looking..and another "america's sweetheart" type..nevermind.

I don't really care what Kate, Owen, and Chris do...good for them if they are together or not..I just think that people are so biased, and completely buy into bullshit of labeling people, only looking at the surface of an issue and don't mind believing the crap that tabliods like to so blatantly write as the truth...and are so mind-numbingly fucking ignorant as to eat all this shit as if though it were a seven course meal that they got for free.
