David Beckham says he makes sure Victoria eats

David Beckham today broke his silence on his wife Victoria’s controversial size 0 figure, revealing that he makes her eat. The former England captain stuck up for the ex-Spice Girl’s stick-thin look, insisting that she does consume food regularly - because of him. "I see Victoria every day of course and I make sure she eats well and she eats healthy," he told GMTV. "She looks after the way she is, you know, it is down to that person. You are beautiful whatever you are, it is about that person, about how you feel." Victoria, 32, is regularly criticised for being a bad role model to young girls because her weight has dropped to below seven stone. Beckham also told how he influenced his wife to have her trademark extensions chopped off into a bob - because that is the style she sported when they first met eight years ago. That, however, wasn’t the only reason. Becks, 31, also revealed how nice it is for him to run his fingers through her hair without finding knotty extensions. "I said to her, ‘I’d love you to change your hair, and do something like a bob,’ so when I saw the pictures I was like, ‘Oh My God, it looks incredible’. "It was my idea, she knew how strongly I felt about her going back to a bob because when I first met her she had a bob so I said it’s the best haircut for me. It’s actually nice to put my hands through her hair and not feel the extensions. "I love her whatever she looks like, whatever weight she is. She is great at the moment." Speaking frankly about his wife and their sons Brooklyn, seven, Romeo, four, and 19-month-old Cruz, Beckham, who is promoting his latest book Make It Real, also revealed how he told his children that he no longer plays for England because he wants to spend more time with them. "The boys have asked why I’m not playing and I’ve said, ‘Well, I want to spend more time with you’, and they are so happy," he said.

as we all know, it's really just a self-esteem issue with her. that's why she's sooo obsessed with her looks and adds fake versions of everything to her body.

day-vid darling, if you really want to help victoria get healthy (i.e. eat, lose the fake hair, nails, boobs), try and make her feel wanted and loved, and naturally beautiful. first tip: stop cheating on her and making her feel inadequate.

I read Victorias book Learning to Fly [i think that was the title anyway] and she admitted to being too obsessed with her looks. People who have that disorder, and yes, its recognized now as a psychological/mental illness, have an idea of perfect in their brain that they dont achieve. So no matter what they do to themselves, they're still not happy with themselves. And from the cases I've seen on tv, the men and women who have this illness are very attractive people. I saw it on Oprah. These people on the show were saying they felt too ugly to live. They felt like they looked deformed. Its a real illness, and its going to become even more common.

I would be a bit worried if my husband had to make sure I ate well. And I think yes, his cheating has something to do with her insecurities, but also the fact that she is constantly picked apart in the media. She isn't the most beautiful woman in the world and she knows it, so it must be kind of hard. I'm feeling the sympathy for Posh at the moment.

He was. But telling your little boys that you're not playing anymore because you want to spend more time with them is much nicer than telling them "Those fucking assholes canned me, that's why I'm not playing for them!". Besides, I'm sure most people who spend a lot of time doing anything for a living....even something they love....would like to be able to spend more time with their kids.

He sees her everyday yet the first time he saw her hair was through pictures? Unless she sent camera phone pic.

I've read she quite often doesn't eat for a day or two when she's punishing David for something he's done.

I wonder what Victoria's excuse is ... we hardly ever see her with the kids. She always seems to be busy either shopping for hideous outfits or wandering around aimlessly getting her photo taken.
