Town tells white seperatist singers (Prussian Blue): no hate here

Sept. 15, 2006 — - In the picturesque northwest corner of Montana only 30 miles from Glacier National Park, signs have begun to appear on windows in the city of Kalispell that proclaim "No Hate Here."


What's the fuss all about?


At first, it seems difficult to believe that the focus of the campaign is two 14-year-old twin girls.


Then it becomes clear.


The two teens are those spokeskids for white separatists, Lamb and Lynx Gaede, who vaulted to international attention after they appeared on ABC's "Primetime" last year.


The girls, their mother, April, and stepfather Mark Harrington recently moved to Montana from Bakersfield, Calif., after April told "Primetime" that Bakersfield was "not white enough." Now Kalispell has put the family on notice, "Not in my backyard."


Last week a group of neighbors printed information sheets about the family and distributed them door to door.

"This letter is not written as a means to harass the family or to begin a witch hunt," the flier said. "We wish the family no harm. Our goal is to peacefully communicate that this kind of hate and ignorance will not be accepted here in our neighborhood where we live and raise our families."


Lamb and Lynx created the band Prussian Blue to communicate their white separatist views musically. The song "Sacrifice" praises Nazi leader Rudolph Hess, Adolph Hitler's deputy. The two have modeled T-shirts featuring Hitler smiley faces. They mostly appear at rallies for white nationalist causes and maintain a Web site with links to other white separatist organizations.

"The music that Prussian Blue performs is intended for white people," says the Web site. "They hope to help fellow whites come to understand that love for one's race is a beautiful gift that we should celebrate."


Rebecca Kushner-Metteer, one of the people who handed out the fliers, says the teens and their parents moved into her south Kalispell neighborhood a couple of weeks ago. At first, no one paid much attention until another neighbor showed a rerun of the "Primetime" broadcast. They then recognized their new neighbors.

Now Kushner-Metteer and other families say they have received threats.

"We're very concerned about our safety," says Kushner-Metteer.


Postings by members of Stormfront.org and Libertyforum.com, which are community sites linked to the Prussian Blue site, have included addresses and phone numbers of those involved in passing out the fliers. A photograph of a mother and her daughter that was published by the Daily Inter Lake as they distributed the fliers can also be found on the sites.


Kalispell Police Chief Frank Garner says all the threats have come from outside the region but are being investigated. He also says none contained death threats.


In the "Primetime" interview, Lynx who was 13 at the time, says she and her sister were "proud of being white."

"We want our people to stay white," she says. "We don't want to just be, you know, a big muddle. We just want to preserve our race."


The Gaedes apparently want to be left alone. They have refused to answer their door or telephone.


However, the Kalispell Police Department has heard from the family. The police say they received a complaint that the family was being "harassed" by the neighbors posting the fliers.


In an irony not lost on many in the community, the officers had to explain that the neighbors' free speech rights made the fliers perfectly legal.

Just as legal as the free speech rights afforded Lynx and Lamb Gaede.


Although a date has yet to be set, the 1,400-member Montana Human Rights Network is planning a rally in Kalispell. Seems all area residents are now exercising their free speech rights in northwest Montana.

I always find it so amusing to see these types proclaim that all they are interested in is supporting the white race, and instilling pride in their race. They like to make it all sound so "harmless" and "innocent."

Well, their actions belie their words. Their songs identify with and celebrate figures like adolf hitler and other members of the movement accussed of heinous crimes against people of color. They use ugly terms to refer to others not like them (oh, on television they're not gonna say ugly racial epithets, but behind the scenes and on the message boards they sure will). Websites like stormfront (the name alone should tell you everything) celebrate violent crimes against people of color, engage in the most insulting and demeaning racist dialogue. People like prussian blue, are in fact using their notoriety and music to spread their ignorance and hate. Many groups also have international ties to european and other hate groups that preach violence against people of color.

And yet people continue to defend those in the "movement," insinuating that it's all a bunch of harmless individuals who only want to show pride in their race. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing inherently wrong with having pride in one's own race or ethnicity. There's everything wrong with doing so at the expense of other races. Ignorance is bliss.

The very name, Prussian Blue, refers to the Holocaust's gas chambers (the absence of which Lynx and Lamb said proved the Holocaust never happened). The whole Holocaust denial thing really gets to me.

I love the irony of the freedom of speech thing. On a side note, the girls were interviewed for British Cosmo or Glamour, and the interviewer noted how articulate the girls could be, but only on the subject of race and the supremacist stand point, and they were the creepiest people she'd ever spoken to.

I have hope for these girls though, they are only 14, chances are they will decide to think for themselves and break away from their mother.

Very well said. I am as white as they come, and after HATING it for years (when your friends are all beautiful darker shades and you GLOW, it sucks!), I now take pride in my heritage (Irish, English/Scottish, and yes, German) but not at the expense of hating or denigrating others. (Even though my ex-husband is a lot French, and I give our kids together crap for that. LOL.) These people are extreme haters and should be ashamed of raising their children like this. My German mom raised us to hate and be ashamed of what Hitler and the rest of the Nazis did.

You should be proud to be white, I'm proud to be black. I'm also proud of having a young half black, half asian cousin. And I'm proud of having multi-ethinic friends, and non multi ethnic friends...are white people being subjected to opression that would bring this kind of feeling out? I saw a documentary about the mother and she's as white trash as they get. Her and all her friends are nasty, trashy, bottom of the heap skinheads, the lowest and stupidest bunch of people out there. lol and they think they're so superior to everyone when they have the combined IQ of 50. The mom's obsessed, ALL she talks about is white power, she really came off as having a mental problem the way she's so obsessively focused on one thing. As for the residents of Kalispell, Montana, who have waged their "No Hate Here" campaign, there's no hate in your community. You have law abiding citizens who happen to have a point of view that differs from yours. That does not necessarily make that point of view wrong. Then again, the tyrannical politically-correct thought police can't respect or tolerate anyone who dares to have beliefs contrary to theirs.

In America, we have the right to free speech and expression. While that certainly works both ways, it would be proper for the so-called "tolerance" hypocrites in Kalispell, Montana, to practice what they preach.

Lynx and Lamb write songs for white people. There's absolutely nothing hateful about that.

Perhaps they [Kalispell residents] should be objective and familiarize themselves with Prussian Blue before coming across as prejudicial hypocrites, who buy into every word that the politically-correct, biased mainstream media etches into their impressionable minds.

I cannot believe that anyone would suggest that there is nothing hateful about writing songs exclusively for white people. I am white and I find them as well as all the neo-nazis to be extremely offensive.
