Matthew Broderick suffered a broken collar bone after falling off a horse.
The mishap occurred Sunday while the "Ferris Bueller" star was horseback riding at his holiday home in the UK. Broderick was treated at Sligo General Hospital Monday, accompanied by his wife, Sarah Jessica Parker.
Broderick was treated and released. The actor's publicist told TMZ "Matthew is in a little pain but is fine."

I doubt he was drunk. (drunk-riding=suicide)
From personal experience, one doesn't need to be drunk to fall off of a horse.

Pretty common injury. People try and break the fall with their hands/arms and end up breaking collar bone. It's hard not to insert a SJP horse reference.
Man does not have good luck in Northern Ireland. At least he didn't kill anybody with this visit.

But he does have a history of drink problems.

Sometimes it has to do with the saddle. Western barrel saddle vs. "English" saddle.
As for the comments about SJP as the horse, that's funny!
