Default Paris Hilton's album is turning into a flop

This is from different sites. Can't wait to see what the total numbers are on Tuesday.
In the UK the album is not doing too well

Ms Hilton's debut disc has gone down as well as a K-Fed tune at a gangsta rap convention...

Paris Hilton’s debut album 'Paris' has sold just 2000 copies in its first few days of release and is currently sitting at No 23 in the midweek charts.

It’s bound to come as a shock to the hotel heiress who tells US magazine 'Blender' this week, “People go crazy (when they hear it). They love it. Everyone’s like ‘Who’s this?’”

She adds, "I, like, cry, when I listen to it, it's so good."

Meanwhile, it's not just poor record sales which have given the socialite-turned-singer more reason to cry - so have censors in India.

The video for Paris's single 'Stars Are Blind' has been banned on all TV stations for being too ‘raunchy’.

Things aren’t exactly going to plan in Camp Paris at the moment, poor lamb…http://www.mtv.co.uk/channel/mtvuk/n...is_album_flops
It's not doing too well in the US either

Yesterday Danity Kane and Paris Hilton's albums were released. Danity Kane's album is already #2 on Amazon.com while Paris Hilton comes in at #41. I smell a huge bomb. Danity Kane's album gets better with each listen while Paris' album falls flat. Scott Storch is probably kicking himself now. It doesn't help that Paris has barely promoted this album. You think if singing was really her passion she'd get her ass out there. But I'm sure she's afraid to perform live since she lacks any real talent. http://community.livejournal.com/ohn...t/8335210.html

I hope Danity Kane or OutKast are #1. Paris' album needs to flop, to give her a reality check!

How does selling 2000 albums get you in the middle of the top 40? That sucks man. I thought you had to have some legit sales to break into the top 40.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Any half wit could make an album then.

The 2000 was in the UK and would assume with the smaller population that 50,000 would make you #1. I'm not familiar with the UK charts

Thank God she's flopping. No one should encourage her to do anything but shut the hell up and go away... far FAR away!!!

Seriously, I can't believe the one time Parisite has a legitimate reason to flop her skank ass all over the place, she doesn't even bother to promote her album.

Oh yay I was hoping this would happen. I've heard it and it reminds me of a Britney Spears cd. Pop, crap. It's already been done 10 billion times.

Thumbs up

Oh this is GREAT news! I know it sounds like a petty thing to even waste a thought on, but i really am truly glad that this pathetic *album* is flopping. Like someone else said, Parisite is desperately in need of a reality check, and with her arrogant "It's so great, i cry when i listen to it!" boasting, having it flop could FINALLY BE THE THING THAT BEGINS THE END OF PARISITE'S LONG-OVEREXTENDED 15 MINUTES OF FAME!!!! (a day which i eagerly await!)

She is so arrogant and full of herself, and bragging about her album was so good it was. It really serves her right that her album is flopping. Yay!

Do you know that I didn't even listen to any of her CD, not one note? Somehow, I just couldn't be bothered. It's bad enough that we have to see her image plastered all over the place, though it is fun to mock her.

I just didn't want to have to hear her. I imagine that her voice is forced, high and reedy-sounding. Blech!
