Tom Cruise apologizes about Brooke Shields

Is Tom Cruise finally realizing it's time to wean himself off the wacky pills?

The couch-jumping actor, who was just released from his lucrative contract with Paramount Studios because of his "recent conduct," is now apologizing for his public bashing of actress Brooke Shields.

In 2005, Cruise criticized Shields's admission that she'd taken medication to cope with postpartum depression in interviews with Access Hollywood and The Today Show.

"That, he deeply regrets," producer Kathleen Kennedy, who worked with the star on War of the Worlds, tells the New York Daily News.

Meanwhile, TomKat are showing a united front amid the shit-storm created by Cruise's Paramount dismissal. The couple (sans Suri, of course) posed for photographers yesterday during a rare public outing in Santa Monica.

O.K. he did not apologize, his spokeshole said he was sorry. When I hear Tom say he's sorry I might forgive, but I probably won't. It's like me apologizing for something my daughter said..........doesn't count unless she says it.

By saying what he said about Brooke he single handedly made himself the biggest asshole among mothers everywhere. While I do appreciate men who have an opinion on parenting, saying a women who was suffering from a horrible mind state was “irresponsible” for taking meds to make her better FOR HER CHILD can just die.
