40 Acre Wildfire At Neverland Ranch Contained

(AP) LOS OLIVOS, Calif. A wildfire the burned 40 acres on Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch has been contained.

The fire surrounded the ranch's amusement park rides and came within a quarter-mile of the main residence after starting at about 2 p.m. Friday.

Santa Barbara County Fire spokesman Keith Cullom says no structures caught fire at the 2,500 acre estate.

Cullom says about 100 firefighters battled the blaze along with a pair of water-dropping helicopters.

Jackson is not at the house. He has been living in the Middle Eastern kingdom of Bahrain since being acquitted of child molestation charges last year.

In March, Jackson closed the main house at Neverland and laid off several of his employees.

I seriously hope they moved all those exotic animals out of there.
No hapless giraffe should burn to death because of Jackson's
wretched behavior.

He did not actually lay his employees off, he just left the country and did not bother to pay them. He kind of abandoned the place. Tippy Hendron has a couple tigers from the ranch. She has a privately funded rescue for such animals. (Tippy is Melanie Griffiths mother)

I also heard on the local news yesterday morning, before the news of the fire, that he sold the elephant to a circus!!! Poor thing....a circus! Tippy Hedren is a wonderful person

wow i hope the animals are all ok, but i laughed out loud when i read the title of the thread, but i agree lynnie, very suspicious, or a disgruntled employee.

Don’t worry, he’ll soon return to the US from Bangkok, oh excuse me, Bahrain, when they accuse him of molesting someone over there. Then he’ll just “Admit” to some random unsolved crime in the US and we will fly him back in first class.
