I lost a crapload of weight right before I got married(not trying, just stressed) and my mom had the 'are you eating?' talk with me right away. I didn't look even close to as thin as Nicole. Lionel is a fool.

I went through the exact same experience, KandyKorn...Lost a lot of weight before my wedding and EVERYBODY, ESPECIALLY my parents, noticed and were constantly asking me if i was eating right, and whenever i was home my mom would cook my favorite (very fattening) dinners & desserts, and was always pestering me about putting on some weight... And i was NOWHERE near as thin as Nicole, who looks like she's seriously on death's door. How could Lionel NOT notice??? He MUST. It must be some other issue that is precluding him from facing reality with regards to this situation. He's deeply in denial.

I think the story I heard was Nicole had been picked up by the cops several times and was basically a hard core heroin junkie before Lionel noticed that either.

He's either in denial or he's chronically oblivious because it's apparent to the whole world she's way too damn thin.

I think he's probably too much of a "chill" dad. When I see them together in interviews and on the simple life they seem to really love each other (I can especially see that Nicole loves him), but I don't think he disciplined her well. He was probably too busy with his own career and stuff to watch her a lot and take care of her.

Nicole has said that as a teenager she was unsupervised a lot and had a lot of freedom to do whatever she wanted. I'm sure Lionel is not oblivious, but probably is too much "friend" and not enough "dad" in his relationship with Nicole.

I have also heard things about him trying to bribe her into gaining weight (offering to pay for a cruise, etc. if she gains weight). This is evidence of a dad who cares but also one that spoils his daughter and doesn't know how to "lay down the law".

Don't forget there is a mother involved too. Between the two of them they could have intervened and put her in a eating disorder clinic. Get a clue parents.
