Supermodel Cindy Crawford has made the astonishing revelation that she has been using a cosmetic surgeon for the past 11 years.
It had always been assumed that Miss Crawford earned her £25 million fortune from her natural looks.
However, in a magazine interview out today, the 40-year-old mother-two spoke of making regular trips for treatments ranging from Botox, to vitamin and collagen injections.
She went on to reveal that she has been getting such extra help with her looks since the age of 29.
'I'm not going to lie to myself: past a certain age, creams work on the texture of your skin but, in order to restore elasticity, all I can really count on is vitamin injections, Botox and collagen,' she tells this week's Gala magazine.
Crawford in the past has insisted that a 'miracle mixture' of ground coffee and olive oil kept her skin in its enviable condition. Yet with refreshing honesty, she admits: 'I have a very simple, healthy life, which works miracles. I drink a lot of water, watch what I eat and exercise. 'But I owe the quality of my skin to my cosmetic surgeon.'
The revelation is bound to come as something of a surprise to the hundreds of thousands of woman who have bought her beauty products over the years - making her fabulously wealthy.
Some might think that they have been rather cheated that while they were hoping that her beauty could be attributed to the products she promotes, that is not altogether the case.
Miss Crawford afterall has her own skincare range called Meaningful Beauty. Products includes facial mask, skin softening cleaners, moisturisers and neck rejuvenating creams.
She says of her products: 'I believe Meaningful Beauty is the best skin care available, and soon you will be able to discover the difference yourself. 'Improve the tone and texture of your skin. Reduce the look of lines and wrinkles.
Reveal skin that is smoother, softer and more radiant. They're products that treat your skin in a meaningful way now for more beautiful, younger-looking skin tomorrow.'

I still like her. She can admit to using some plastic surgery
but people won't hate her because she's never been that
obnoxious to begin with. When her movie Fair Game bombed,
she decided not to make another one. Most divas would go out
and blame the media for ruining their movie career (i.e., Madonna).
Maybe celebrities ought to work on being not full of themselves
instead of just "staying young."

while I admire her honesty, it's SHAMEFUL that she didn't own up to it years ago doing product endorsements. I just don't feel right that she's talking about getting injections for elasticity, and then hawking products for wrinkles...That's what elasticity is about!
harumph...she's still pretty, but that's deceitful...

I have no problem with people having plastic surgery. Frankly I like plastic surgery; its good to know that there are options to fix disliked body parts. I have to admit that I am abit body obsessed.
I do have a problem with them lying about something when its blatantly obvious. I love the honest celebs though, way to go!

Cindy Crawford is a gorgeous woman.
I will never forget the first time I saw her in that Pepsi commercial, with the two boys ogling her and the song "Just One Look" playing in the background. She was absolutely stunning, so beautiful.

I definitely applaud her blunt honesty; it's great that she just came right out & admitted this without beating around the bush AT ALL! I mean, to admit she's been getting work done since AGE 29??? (Uh-oh, i turn 29 next year ; is that when the face starts to fall apart??? ) That is a bold admission, and i commend her for her obvious honesty. (--She certainly could have admitted to having work done, but didn't have to go all the way with telling the whole truth about how LONG she's been having it done! THAT surprizes me, in a good way. Good for her!) But anyway, i must say, it's been extremely OBVIOUS to me that she's had some significant work done, for the past few years. She's had an obvious brow lift. Her eyes are definitely way more "open" & have that slightly "permanently startled look" & it doesn't look right to me at all. People talk about how Cindy Crawford looks so great for her age; i've been thinking for a few years now (since she got that godawful browlift) "What are they talking about? She's had OBVIOUS plastic surgery.", and to me, it looks unnatural & strange.

I agree! Glad someone else feels this way. Even in her heyday in the early 90s, like at the time of that infamous Pepsi commercial someone mentioned (i remember being 13 & watching it with my "boyfriend"( ) & getting jealous that he was practically salivating while watching that commercial in stunned amazement.), i have just never found her beautiful. And certainly not the least bit interesting. Boooooring. Especially after watching a show about & reading about, the supermodel Gia.--Cindy is/was just a less beautiful, less interesting version of Gia, IMHO.

I beg to differ about her not being obnoxious. She is terribly obnoxious. If I have to hear one more time that she was number one in her class or how she's smarter than most, I'll hurl. If you watched one episode of House of Style, your neck would ache after watching her throw hers side to side as she spoke. Aside from that, I've never really appreciated her "beauty." She's tall and average looking at best.
The biggest surprise is that she had her own beauty cream. I've never heard about it.

Good for her for fessing up to face work.
Now, tell us about all the work you've done on your body. The obvious lipo in the 90s just before her exercise video and the subtle but good breast lift after the birth of her baby.
Sorry, I went to college in her hometown and I'm a little over her.

She and her cheesy-ass husband are over-the-top obnoxious. They are both gross, tacky people.

Her plastic surgery is "astonishing." To whom? It's been an open secret for years. I don't applaud her honesty -- she's just shilling for a different kind of publicity, the "isn't she honest and genuine, just like us" approach. Ugh.
