Justin Timberlake has lashed out at reports he's having yet another dig at his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears in
new song What Goes Around Comes Around.
The pop superstar, who had a major hit with Cry Me A River - a song he confessed was written with his former girlfriend in mind - fires back at claims the new song in another attack.
He tells
Mtv News, "It's about someone that I know. I had no qualms about telling you what Cry Me A River was about, so I have no qualms about telling you that this one is not about what Cry Me A River was about.
"All I can tell you right now is it's not (about Britney)."
Timberlake insists he no longer has any ill feeling about his ex and honestly wishes her well as she prepares to become a mum for a second time amid constant reports about the state of her marriage to Kevin Federline.
But he won't be talking about Spears anymore.
He adds, "I get approached a lot about her and it's such a part of my life that is so long ago to me that I prefer not to talk about it anymore because it's giving it too much weight and it's always misconstrued."
