(KP International) Myths and methods on how to up one's chances of conceiving a child of a particular gender have been around for centuries. In the vein of believing one can somehow help determine the sex, and in hopes of adding some femininity to her brood, Victoria Beckham has supposedly decided to try a natural, sour and citrusy route.

"She's been told that a highly acidic diet will help her chances of conceiving a girl and is eating loads of apples, lemons, oranges and grapefruit," a source has said to the Daily Star.
The former Posh of the Spice Girls, wife of famous footballer David Beckham, already has three young sons seven-year-old Brooklyn, three-year-old Romeo and Cruz, who's one.

Haha well spotted enctpc! I so don't believe this, she just needs to sleep with a different guy to concieve a girl, since (I think! Don't shoot me if I'm wrong here) it's all about the daddy when it comes to determining sex.

I think you are right about 'daddy' being the one to determine sex. It has nothing to do with her..why is she so stupid to do this acidic thing?

I agree, I think the male partner is supposed to be on either alkaline (for a boy) or acidic (girl), even then nothing is 100%.

She does not seem healthy enough to conceive, much less have a safe full term pregnancy.Was she this thin with her other pregs?

I dont think so, but finding a picture when she was pregnant (a decent one) is almost impossible. But I believe she just freaked out over the pregnancy weight and the changes her body went though - that's why she took it to the extreme.

I'm surprised she wouldn't try a more high tech way to get a girl, like microsort. There is a huge following for things like Shettles (all about timing, diet, supplements) and other 'swaying' methods, but they are usually still 50/50 in the long run. Microsort ups the odds considerably, and the Beckhams definitely have the money to do it...

However, she doesn't need to have any more damn kids. She doesn't exactly scream "nurturing" or "motherly" to me.

Well it could be that she just wants to concieve naturally, they would probably get a LOT of stick if they were found to have genetically chosen the gender of their child.

If you have even enough money for IVF, you'd think they could just separate the XX carrying sperm from the XY and fertilize with those. I know they can do this. It's just very controversial, the whole gender selection thing.

I hope the bitch has ten boys. But at least they have money to burn. My cousin and her husband could barely afford to support the four (girls) they had and when pregnant with the last she was supposed to get her tubes tied, but decided against it at the 11th hr!
