Bryce Dallas Howard expecting first child

Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village, Lady in the Water), 25, is expecting her first child with new husband Seth Gabel, she announced at the British premiere of Lady in the Water. She and Seth married in June after being together for five years, and have been open about trying for a baby since.
Of the impending baby, Bryce said, "I can't talk about the pregnancy too much...I'm a little superstitious." Bryce's father is Happy Days star and acclaimed director Ron Howard.

they've been "trying for a baby since" June? She looks at least 5 months pregnant. can anyone say "shotgun wedding". no wonder she doesn't want to talk about it! PR is still trying to figure out how to pull this one off

My thoughts exactly! Shotgun wedding indeed; definitely looks a good 5 months pregnant. And call me an evil cynic or whatever, but part of me thought, "She's been TRYING for a baby??!? She's only 25 and her movie career is JUST GETTING STARTED! --And she strikes me as the ambitious type." Like i said, i may be an evil cynic, but i just don't think this baby was planned, as they say. Not that it really matters--Congrats to them on their impending bundle of joy!

Gosh, I find it hard to say anything bad about Opie's daughter. I think the fact that she and the father were together for five years before marrying. I'd rather see someone "together" for a good deal of time before marrying and having children anyway. I won't knock her just yet. Shotgun wedding - pishah. how many of us dated someone for five years without sex??

listen, i'm not bashing her for getting pregnant when they weren't married. i'm not that kind. what i am bashing is the BULLSHIT "I'm a responsible adult" story.

Well, she certainly seems a lot more responsible than ... oh, say Britney, Angelina, and a myriad of other Hollyweird starlets who get knocked up by somebody on the first date. Is she the most responsible person in the world? Nope. Is she the least? Hells no.

Oh, well, at least she went to the trouble of getting married. And if she's been with this guy for 5 years, sounds like an established relationship to me.
