Lindsay Lohan hopes to entertain troops like Marilyn Monroe

NEW YORK -- Lindsay Lohan says she wants to travel to Iraq to entertain the troops, and she hopes to do it in the company of New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

In an interview that will run in the September issue of Elle Magazine, Lohan said she has been attempting to plan the trip for a number of months, "but it seemed too dangerous."

She also said her inspiration for the trip was Marilyn Monroe's visits to the troops during the Korean War. "It's so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who's basically a pinup, which is what I've always aspired to be," said Lohan.

Lohan also reveals that she has a dark side. " I watched all those videos on Charles Manson for a while," she told Elle.

God, what a dumbass. It's obvious she doesn't take her acting career seriously AT ALL. She just aspires to be a sex symbol first and foremost. Lindsay, just give it up and do soft porn. Lindsay Lohan's statements are baffling. On one hand, she sounds incredibly egotistical comparing himself to a gorgeous legend like Marilyn Monroe, , but on the other hand she puts herself on a low level by saying all she's ever wanted to be is a sex kitten. I'm sure there are plenty of producers in the porn world who would be delighted to hire her.

"It was suggested to her that if she wanted to go, she could pursue doing so through the USO," said [Clinton's] spokesman Philippe Reines.

The USO is a nonprofit organization that provides entertainment to troops stationed abroad.
