MADONNA and GUY RITCHIE are planning to renew their vows in a simple ceremony at their home in Wiltshire, England, as soon as the pop queen finishes her Confessions tour this autumn.

The golden couple spent last year (05) fighting off rumours their marriage was in a mess - but their romantic gesture will prove the critics wrong, according to website Celebrity Week.

A friend says, "They want to show the world how committed they are to each other. Because they've been living in Los Angeles, they've missed spending time in the English countryside with friends and family".

didn't Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman renew their wedding vows a month before they split??? I remember reading something that said they had, and then Tom comes out and says that they were split up at the time. Go figure

According to my Nicole Kidman biography (it was on sale) they celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary (24 Dec 2000) with a "small party for their close friends" and separated in February. Tom then tried to claim that they had actually separated prior to their anniversary to make the marriage less than 10 years.
