Britney Spears craves baby food

Britney Spears is having cravings for her son's baby food.

The "Toxic" singer is eight months pregnant with her second child and has cravings for Sean Preston's organic baby food.

A friend of the star is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "Britney is trying hard to eat healthily with this pregnancy but she's getting cravings for weird food. She munches through tubes of baby biscuits."

During her pregnancy Britney has been craving Cheetos crisps, fried chicken and even soil.

Last month the 24-year-old singer was rushed to hospital, when she suffered false labor pains, seven months into her pregnancy.

She resolved to improve her diet after doctors told her junk food cravings were not good for the baby.

A friend said: "She wasn't eating enough vegetables. But Britney is now determined to enjoy the rest of her pregnancy and stay healthy after she gives birth."

Earlier this week Britney and husband Kevin Federline took ten-month-old Sean to Las Vegas where Kevin was filming his new music video.

I craved all sorts of weird stuff and gave in to most of those cravings. I remember once eating the same meal every night for a month because the thought of anything else made me wretch: chicken and leeks in a cream sauce over tagliatellia...NOT spaghetti.

Lots of people surprisingly. It's called pica. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_(disorder) I guess the body is trying to tell her that she needs certain minerals. She needs to eat better food.

Pica is usually found in

• Pregnant women

• People whose diets are deficient in minerals contained in the consumed substances

• People who have psychiatric disturbances such as hysteria

• People with developmental disabilities or similar impairments.

• People whose family or ethnic customs include eating certain non-food substances

• People who diet, become hungry, and then try to ease hunger and cravings with low-calorie, non-food substances.

She's got disabitlies and impairments too, that's for SURE!!!!

It's actually a condition called Pica and it's not as uncommon as you'd think. But it usually indicates some serious nutritional deficiency in the diet to begin with. Eating dirt though, just sounds so damn weird.
