Hip Hop song refers to Britney Spears as ugly

Britney Spears Is Ugly: Hip Hop Song 'Black Princess'

The lyrics from a hip hop/reggae song entitled 'Black Princess' has been creating quite the buzz on the web and at MySpace.com.
'India Arie, you are so sweet and lovely. Britney Spears you are ugly'.
Spears, our favorite Pop-Tart, has been branded many things including being less than perfect mother, but this might just be the first time someone has referred to her as ugly, reports Top40-Charts.com.



Top40 has the report:

"When ask why did he took such a shot at Britney Spears, Bookman the artist for 'Black Princess' replied: 'I was just watching VH1 most beautiful people and I was not seeing any of the women that I consider beautiful such as Venus Williams and India Arie. Then they showed Britney Spears and I almost fell out my chair, because I thought there is no way Britney is as beautiful or talented as India Arie, so I just came up with the song right there.'
The song which is one of the most downloaded on both iTunes and Yahoo music is getting plenty of praises and criticisms. Surprisingly on MySpace almost everyone seems to agree with Bookman. Some MySpace users even go as far as saying that there is no competition, India Arie far outshines Britney in both the beauty and talent departments."

Britney is far from my favorite person, but give the girl a break looks-wise. She is waaaaay pregnant, during one of the hottest summers in recent memory, plus still has a young one to take care of. Add in marriage problems and all the stress that brings....no wonder she looks like crap!
While I agree with the songwriter's complaint (ethnic or non-traditional beauty isn't as celebrated as it should be) you don't have to flat out call someone ugly. Strangely, this story made me feel a little protective of her, LOL, and as I stated, I don't even like her!

I agree 100%...aside from the fact that I DO LIKE BRITNEY....i dont think she is ugly either....now most beautiful...NO but she is not an ugly girl at all...now ask me if i think Venus Williams is pretty....

I agree, although I like Brit a lot She's a poor soul, and ugly is a veeeery strong word. I was flicking the music channels last night and Britney behind the music was on.. it's obvious that she is a really beautiful girl, she just makes some very poor fashion/hair choices sometimes

My opinion exactly.
Britney used to be very beautiful even if it was airbrushing and alot of makeup. But lets face it, where would hollywood be without it, there'd be alot of ugly, or average, celebrities.

^^I totally agree. Some people radiate beauty (inner & outer beauty) and India Arie is one of those special people, IMO. ON THE OTHER HAND, we have uneducated, dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks, unbathed, trashy, zit-faced, uncouth, dirty-clothes-wearing, horsehair-extensions-wearing, irresponsible, 2-foot-wide-neck, fetal-alcohol-syndome-appearing-eyes, stubby-legged redneck loser Britney Spears who is UNTALENTED TO BOOT. I agree with this rapper....Britney Spears IS an ugly human being. In fact, she is, IMO, the epitome of the crassness & vulgarity in American culture and the effed-up, useless things it/we value.

Brit-brit isn't great looking without the makeup, hair, lighting, etc but this is kind of cruel. After seeing that interview with Matt Lauer I get the feeling one or two more things will send her right off the deep end.
