Beyoncé and her father-manager, Matthew Knowles, who also managed Destiny's Child, have made "B-Day" available for preorders before the Sept. 4 release. Insiders claim it's an attempt to distract fans from LeToya and undercut her sales.

In 2001, LeToya and ex-Destiny's Child member LaTavia Roberson settled breach-of-contract and fraud suits against Beyoncé's dad and the girl group. "There was supposed to be this whole peace treaty between the girls," an insider told Lowdown. "Lady Elle carries Beyoncé's clothing line and is very successful. The fact is, this is supposed to be over and in the past."

A call to Beyoncé's rep was not returned. LeToya's record label, Capitol, declined to comment.

I heard that latoya's album is going #1 on the charts next week. Good for her. Her song Torn is good too

I think Beyonce's father is as much of an ass as Papa Joe Simpson. I don't doubt it's really him behind the sabotage.

With everything Beyonce has been quoted saying lately, I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to cut into her sales but hey, this is a free world. Competition isn't wrong, maybe Beyonce is testing herself to see if she's still got it, let's see who the winner is these days. Unfortunately, I think she's just a bitch but who knows. Apparently LeToya's album is fantastic and her video has been playing like mad on BET. However, it's not my style of music so I wouldn't know.

If this is true that is a shame....Beyonce has been soooo sucessful...it's hard to beleive she would stoop this LOW...but i dont put jealousy and greed past anyone....

^Agreed. I like Beyonce, but she does seem to be a bit sheltered. There's enough room for both of them to be successful.
And the Papa Joe/Matthew Knowles comparison is dead on.
