Hilton & Richie To Publicly Make Up on Letterman Show

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are set to publicly end their two-year-old feud as guests of US chat show king David Letterman. The beloved TV host has offered to play peacekeeper after inviting The Simple Life stars to appear together on his The Late Show program in September. The two former pals fell out amid reports Richie aired a private viewing of Hilton's controversial sex tape. Both girls have refused to go into detail about their bust-up, with Hilton repeatedly telling journalists, "She knows what she did." Hilton and Richie agreed to team up on TV again for the third season of reality show The Simple Life - but refused to work together onscreen.

I'm surprised there's people who DIDN'T know it was a publicity stunt! I mean, come on- who ends a twenty year friendship at it's height of notoriety and success only to give nondescript reasons why? This was their way of buying time- Paris put out her movie and record, Nicole put out her book and is working on her album, all the while individually gathering more press than if they'd still been "friends". NOW these solo projects are finished, and the only thing to do is bring together the pair that made millions and milk America a third time around! Cheers girls!

Eh, their way of getting publicity seems to be more of the skanky variety. You know, get caught making a home*wink*video, flash people when you forget to wear underwear, date 4 guys in 3 days etc etc.

i'd say milking your name for millions when you have no talent at all is pretty shrewd. they're not intellectual giants but they have managed to stretch out their fifteen minutes pretty admirably.
