David Hasselhoff too drunk to fly...

The same day his divorce became final from Pamela Bach, David Hasselhoff was banned from boarding a British Airways flight after showing up to the gate intoxicated, according to The Sun newspaper.

After reportedly downing bottles of beer and shots of whiskey at a first class lounge at Heathrow, British Airways staff told Hasselhoff he was unfit to board the plane, which The Hoff agreed with.

The Sun also says Hasselhoff told the airline staff he was upset about his messy divorce from his wife after 16 years.

A British Airways spokesperson tells TMZ: "A male passenger was denied boarding flight BA279 as he was deemed to be unfit for travel. He was reassessed by British Airways staff and he was accepted for travel on flight BA283, which left two hours later."

Hasselhoff's publicist told Sky News "He was not drunk. He went to see a doctor who gave him some medication."

Well shit, he's not going to fly the plane is he? I don't see what the problem is unless someone is being belligerent....which they can do just as good a job of (if not better) when sober.

hey leave the David alone! he rocks! I love him on America's got Talent! I keep waiting for him to fall down or pass out. I don't care if he is a drunk, he is still super entertaining.

has anyone noticed how his hair looks worse & worse with each episode? it's almost like last night he woke up and just said screw it.

What medication makes you act drunk? Unless you ARE drunk? Down a couple of painkillers,(for the pain of his divorce of course) and a couple of shots of something tasty like whisky, next thing ya know....pissed as a fart, and staggering around an airport trying to work out what bus you have to catch. Go David. you are a truly great entertainer. We are thoroughly entertained.

Go British Airways!!! It's good they enforce their "no drunken assholes on the plane even if they are celebs flying First Class" rule. Unfortunately there isn't a similar rule for sober assholes but never mind.
