Music mogul TIMBALAND has laughed off NELLY FURTADO's claims he is difficult to work with by suggesting it's the singer who needs to learn manners, not him.

Timbaland, who produced Furtado's hit new album LOOSE, was branded socially inept by the MANEATER beauty after walking out of the studio every time he got bored.
She complained, "It was almost Pavlovian. If he's not feeling what you are doing, he walks out of the room!

"He's got a low-attention span. Half the time I wanted to wring his neck, but that comes with genius, the social awkwardness."

But Timbaland retorts, "She should work on her social skills. She walked out more than me! And she goes to sleep all the time in the recording booth!"

I don't blame her...onstage he just stands there like this bug lug. She's the one dancing and trying to put some energy into the music and he's like this big, fat bear just standing there doing nothing. I'd feel stupid and frustrated too if I were Nelly, having to prance around some idiot like him. That lazy blob has some nerve saying she has to learn some manners. At least she can actually perform onstage. Timbaland is useless.

^ Wow. Useless? He has been the Überproducer of the 90s and still manages to "make" Nelly Furtado, who had a flop with her last CD. He may not be an entertainer, but he has talent. Ask Missy Eliot.

This is surprising to me...I just heard a radio interview with Nelly Furtado and she was giving Timbaland such high and excessive praise that I suspected something had gone on between the two. Maybe she was just trying to make up for the rude remarks. Anyway, I thought she sounded totally obnoxious and not very bright.

This is probably exagerrated. One little phrase taken out of context. If they were on bad terms he wouldn't have took part in the video or possibly even finished the record.

Talented doesn't mean he's a good showman. It means he can write or produce but he has no stage presence whatsoever.

Who cares that Timbaland is not "a good showman". I don't think he's ever claimed to be. Like others have pointed out, the man is an extremely talented PRODUCER. He reinvented Nelly Furtado and brought her from the brink of obscurity....His collaborations with Missy Elliot are innovative & extremely creative; so were his collaborations with Aaliyah (their work together on the song "We Need a Resolution" is so great; that song still blows my mind every time i hear it, it's so awesome.) He doesn't need to be a showman.
