LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Justin Timberlake says it was love at first sight when he met Britney Spears.

The singer - who is about to release his eagerly anticipated second solo album 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' - says he knew he had to be with his ex straight away.

He confessed to the US version of GQ magazine: "I was in love with her from the start. I was infatuated with her from the moment I saw her."

Justin - who met Britney when they both appeared on children's TV series the 'Mickey Mouse Club' - has also revealed he felt bitter towards Britney after they split in 2002.

He said: "When we initially parted ways, I felt like she had a couple of opportunities to just sort of stick up for me, and she didn't. Which is fine. But at that time, you know, I fought back - I wrote a song."

Justin, who is now dating Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz, admits the pair no longer speak, but insists he wants Britney, who is married to former dancer Kevin Federline, to be happy.

He said: I wish her well. I don't think you can ever count somebody like her out. Because she may appear one way, but she's very clever."

Justin has really been trotting out his personal life lately to promote his album - stuff he wouldn't even comment on or acknowledge several years ago. I hope the press reminds him of that in a few months when he's sure to say "I wish the papparazzi would leave me alone" and "I don't like to talk about my personal life" when he doesn't need the publicity.

These stars are fucking opportunists when it comes to self serving interviews. Geez I wonder if Justin has an album coming out. I wish the press would just ignore him to get back at his PIMPLEY ASS Girlfriend who is always in a war with the PAPS.

I just wish they would boycott him period. Guess what Justin, I never slept or talked to Britney but I can bet you dollars to donuts, that Hillbilly is not clever. Maybe uneducated would be a term I would use.

Justin is SO NOT OVER Britney. In fact, it's kinda sad. I really, really get a strong vibe that he is STILL broken-hearted & majorly in love with her. Poor dude.

I agree Gold Dust & dakotas...and it's pretty sad. Britney royally fucked up when she decided to cheat on Justin...and now she has K-Fug. Wow, what a step up.
