What were they thinking hiring Daniel Craig? All of the publicity during the filming didn't help either.
Not a bond fan, but even I was disappointed with their choice.
ITA agree it must have been a bad test screening.
Bond Producers Hail New 007 Craig
By WENN| Friday, July 21, 2006
HOLLYWOOD - The producers of upcoming James Bond offering Casino Royale have explained why they're keeping new 007 Daniel Craig on board for the next movie.
Craig, who took over the role from Pierce Brosnan, has just signed a contract committing him to at least one more outing as the suave superspy--before his first Bond film is even released.
However, his commitment to the franchise and early glimpses of Casino Royale have earned him the whole-hearted backing of producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
In a statement released yesterday they say, "Daniel has taken the origins of Ian Fleming's James Bond portraying, with emotional complexity, a darker and edgier 007."

This movie must be pretty bad if they have to continuously praise Daniel Craig every chance they get...
If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

Drive a car, drive a boat, drive a plane. What does it matter? As long as I'm drunk!

He's not a bad actor, he was pretty good and believable in Layer Cake - but he is NOT bond, he doesn't have the look.
^^Agreed, SVZ. He's good actor, but he isn't good-looking or debonair enough to pull off Bond, at least the Bond we know and love, and nobody can act that certain kind of je ne sais quoi.
He looks like a lawn gnome.
I am from the American CIA and I have a radio in my head. I am going to kill you.
I would have thought theyd wait to see how the film does before signing him onto another one. But i will reserve judgement until i see the film...............
